Do I need planning permission for a home extension?
Many single-storey rear extensions fall under permitted development, so full planning permission isn't always needed. Larger, double-storey and some side extensions usually do need it. We check your property at the free site visit and handle the planning application if one is required.
How long does a home extension take to build?
It depends on the size and design. A typical single-storey extension usually takes around 10 to 14 weeks on site, and double-storey extensions take longer. You'll get a clear timeline with your quote before any work starts.
Can I stay in my home during the build?
In most cases, yes. We plan the work to keep disruption to a minimum, keep the site tidy every day and only open up into the existing house near the end of the build.
Is your quote fixed?
Yes. After the site visit you receive an itemised, fixed-price quote. The price only changes if you decide to change the specification.
