Do I need permission for decorating work in Berkshire?
Repainting your home doesn't normally need permission. If you live in a listed building or a conservation area, changing exterior colours or finishes may need consent from your local council — Windsor & Maidenhead, Wokingham, West Berkshire, Bracknell Forest, Reading or Slough, and flats may need freeholder approval for exterior work.
