Do I need permission for decorating work in Reading?
Repainting your home doesn't normally need permission. If you live in a listed building or a conservation area, changing exterior colours or finishes may need consent from Reading Borough Council (or Wokingham and West Berkshire councils on the edges of town), and flats may need freeholder approval for exterior work.
